Fat is not the cause of heart disease. This probably sounds crazy as doctors tell you to stay away from saturates. I am hear to give you the facts that its not actually saturates that is causing all of this heart disease but it is this packaged, processed refined foods that is causing an increase in the percentage of heart disease.


The fact is that before 1920 the incidents of heart disease was very low, and it wasn't until the 1950's that we saw a marked increase in heart disease cases.


So what happened between 1920 and 1950 that caused this increase in heart disease? During this time that actual consumption of saturates went down. During this time the consumption of dietary vegetable oils in the form of margarine and refined oils increased by 400%. The consumption of sugar and processed foods also increased by 60%.
