There is something about firm flat abdominal muscles that gives our bodies that athletic and attractive look. Over the years the desire for people to tone and train their bodies has increased with people like Arnold Schwarenegger and other movie stairs populising body building and body transformation.
A recent poll was done on my other site www.Weight-Lifting-Guide.com which revealed the abdominal muscles were the most attractive muscles from a females piont of view, these were followed closely by the pectorals and then the biceps.
Unlike what most people believe getting 6 pack abs is not complicated in terms of how to do it. Its the doing that makes getting firm abdominal muscles hard.
For 6 pack abdominals to be visible you must first have a lower percentage of body fat. This is generally 12% or below. You must also train your abdominal muscles directly to build the muscle.
Remember
It dosnt matter how hard you train your abdominal muscles, if you have a layer of fat covering then then they will not be visible.
The following home abdominal workout i am going to share with you is an easy way to build your abdominal muscles in the comfort of your own home. You do not need any equipment, especially not those fancy machines you see advertised on the home shopping channel.
This is the same abdominal circuit that i used during my 12 week muscle building transformation and its quick and easy to do.
If you are after a perfect body then you need to train the whole body using a combination of cardio and weight lifting workouts. Your body likes to grow evenly and someone without any muscle definition and a set of 6 pack abs would just look stupid. Weight training and cardio sessions should be the foundation of any training program, with the home abdominal workout acting as a supplement.

This home abdominal workout is basically a circuit of several ab exercises linked together which should be performed in one continues circuit untill all sets and reps have been completed. Each exercise is designed to work a different angle of your abdominals so by the end of the circuit you will have worked all of your abs.
This ab training circuit can be tapped onto the end of your normal training routine. If you dont have a normal training routine then you can grab yourself one from this site by either using the search bar at the top of the page or the navigation bars to the right. There are many free routines on this site whatever your goals.
There are 4 abdominal exercises that make up this abdominal workout are they are as follows.
Beginners - Perform 10 reps of each abdominal exercise in the order shown, without resting inbetween exercises. Rest 30 seconds and then complete another 2-3 sets.
Intermediate - Perform 20-30 reps of each abdominal exercise. Rest 30 seconds and then repeat for another 3-5 sets.
Advanced - Perform 50+ reps of each abdominal exercise. rest 30 seconds and then repeat another 3 -5 times.

Abs are like every other muscle group and do not need to be worked every day. Your abdominals need recovery time from each workout. Aim for 2 or 3 ab training sessions per week for maximum results.
You do not need any equipment to do this home abdominal workout but i do highly recommened getting an exercise mat that you can lay down to help protect your back. An exercise mat is really cheap at around $7 and will make the exercise feel so much more comfortable you will be able to do more reps.
