Dumbbell Arnold Press

This shoulder exercise is great for developing the front of your shoulders adding mass and definition.

This exercise works so well because the dumbbells are used in a manner that allows you to get a full stretch in your shoulder muscles, more so then with a traditional barbell shoulder press.


This exercise can also be done seated.


 

 

Instructions

  1. Start by holding a dumbbell in each hand with you hands at shoulder height and palms facing your shoulders.
  2. In one smooth motion press the weights up overhead and at the same time rotate your hands so that your palms face away from you.
  3. Stop just before your elbows lock out.
  4. Reverse the movement back down to the starting position.

 

This exercise should be done strictly and under full control. This exercise is the cross between a lateral raise and dumbbell press and is great for building massive shoulder muscles.
