20 minutes does not sound like a long time for a home workout, however by ramping up the intensity, lowering rest periods and working your butt off you can get a really effective fat burning, body toning workout in just minutes.


The following workout is far more effective then going for a long boring run or spending hours on a treadmill in a gym.


The workout is for men and women and is demonstrated on the 5 videos below courtesy of www.Bodyrock.tv.

You can do this workout without using any equipment at all. Optionally you can add small weights or household weighted objects to add extra intensity to your workout.


In this 20 minute workout video you will be doing interval training, doing 20 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest for eight rounds of 5 different exercises.


This takes the total workout time to around 20 minutes.

The key to making this workout effective is to give each round 100% going as fast and as hard as you can whilst still maintaining proper form. It dosent matter how fit you are as you are working to your maximum this workout will benefit everyone.


The 5 exercises are as follows

Lunge variation (8 Rounds of 20secs 'on' 10 secs 'off')
Baby Push Ups (8 Rounds of 20secs 'on' 10 secs 'off')
Side Lunges & Lateral Arm (8 Rounds of 20secs 'on' 10 secs 'off')
Bike Crunches (8 Rounds of 20secs 'on' 10 secs 'off')
Slide Lunge & Bicep Curl (8 Rounds of 20secs 'on' 10 secs 'off')

To make the planning of the workout easier then you should ideally use an interval timer to track each round of the workout precisely. You can buy these on the internet, and sporting goods stores or even just use the timer feature on most cell phones.


This is a very tough workout and should be done 2-3 times per week for about 4-6 weeks. You will start to see some amazing results in this time.
